We do kill the piglets if we get the chance, they are unlikely to survive without a sow if they are young enough. However with a gestational peirod of only 3 months 3 weeks and 3 days, and the fact that they reach sexual maturity at 6 months of age drastic measures call for extreme tactics. So many people worry about the poor pigs. These things will just as soon eat you as look at you.
Infrared Illuminator
wat was the bright thing? flashlight?
kill the sow you might kill the piglits just a few more you dont have to worry about later
I’ve been thinkin the same thing just chuck frgs at em or make some I.E.D.s lol I’d do it
I LOVE how you can watch the bullet travel and strike. Tough as nails, those hogs!!
If you hunt with a grenade launcher you could get the entire group with one shot.
HAHAHAHAHA!!
I aimed for the neck.
Lolz its Australia I think and truth be told, if there is a mob of 20 pigs you can shoot all 20 lolz.
where did you aim?
We kill the sows first you ignorant socialist Swede. That is one of many effective ways to control the population.
These hogs tear up land meant to grow food, pasture beef, and sustain native wildlife such as deer. They’re a nuisance we exterminate…like cockroaches.
Its amazing that people like you are so willing to spout your ignorance and think its brilliant.
you idiot you have a good selection to shoot the right hog but you managed to shot the mother,, isnt that illegal in the states? In sweden you go to jail if you shot the mother
I’m sorry, but I have never used a gen 1 device. Our scopes, monocular and goggles are all gen 3.
whats the best gen 1 monocular to buy for a decent price?
The light you see on the videos is that of an infrared illuminator mounted to the scope. It is outside of the visual range of hogs and humans alike, so they see nothing.
Hey.. It looks so nice. I’am going o buy some land i Sweden. There’s hogs, and i think this is a good way to do it at night. Are you just using night vision and a normal flashlight? Don’t they get scared of the light?
That was great!!!!5 stars
I did a little bit of deer hunting this year in a relatively open pecan orchard. After being busted by deer in the orchard before daylight, I started wearing goggles to the blind which enabled me to spot deer and adjust my approach in order to keep from spooking them on the way to the blind.
Wow, this is something totally new to me! It certainly might allow for us to get control of the state’s feral hog problem.
Shoot, I’d like some night-vision goggles just for making the 1 1/2 mile walk into the woods I have to do for deer hunting. My biggest problem is getting turned around in the woods, plus I worry about stepping on a poisoning snake in warmer weather.
The video is shot through a pvs-14 mounted to a dvd camcorder. The rifescope is an atn 7900.
What brand and model of the night vision scope used in this video?
Thanks
I was thinking it had to help, especially when you’re shooting maybe 200 yards away. I can get off two shots usually with the AR, but anymore than that is tough.
nice video either way! keep dropping the hammer on those pigs
That is true most of the time. However, on occasion the suppressor does make multiple shots possible. We have shot as many as 4 out of the same group and the weekend of Thanksgiving (2008) my 17 year old nephew hunted with me and shot 3 hogs out of a group of 5. Two major benefits to suppressors–hogs 100 yards away don’t spook at all and if hunted often, they do not spook so bad they move out of the area.
It seemed like the suppresor didn’t help much. I was thinking of getting one and try to pull off multiple shots, but it seems they still run at the impact of the bullet.
nice vid
